Method & licences
Frontrow uses the following public or open datasets in pages that help people plan a venue visit. Storage is not permission: every row below is included because the source terms have been checked for commercial reuse and transformation.
| Dataset | Licence | Commercial use | Derivatives |
|---|---|---|---|
| DfT National Public Transport Access Nodes (NaPTAN)Nearest public-transport access points and straight-line distances on matched venue pages. Frontrow does not turn these into route, service-status or step-free-access claims. | Open Government Licence v3.0 | Yes | Yes |
| Food Standards Agency food hygiene rating dataDated official inspection results near a venue. Frontrow uses the data, not the protected FSA/FHRS imagery or logo, and does not present the results as recommendations. | Open Government Licence v3.0 | Yes | Yes |
| Overture Maps PlacesPostal addresses matched conservatively to existing venue identities from release 2026-07-22.0. Frontrow keeps the source record and match evidence and asks visitors to confirm with the venue. | Places source licencesCDLA Permissive 2.0, Apache 2.0 and CC0 | Yes | Yes |
| Companies House Free Company Data ProductRegistered-company evidence on existing venue pages, from the 1 August 2026 snapshot. Frontrow publishes only reviewed name plus exact registered-office/venue postcode matches; no PSC, officer or other personal fields are used, and a match is not an ownership, operator or parent-company claim. | Open Government Licence v3.0 for Crown copyright material | Yes | Yes |
Attribution and modifications
NaPTAN and food-hygiene content contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Frontrow selects nearby records and calculates straight-line distances; it does not alter the official source values.
Address matches contain information from Overture Maps Foundation Places, release 2026-07-22.0, modified by Frontrow through conservative venue matching. Overture's Places attribution and licence notices identify the component sources and terms.
Company matches contain public register information from the Companies House Free Company Data Product, snapshot 1 August 2026. Frontrow selected records by exact registered-office/venue postcode, arts or culture SIC code and reviewed name evidence. Companies House Crown copyright guidance applies. The match register records the published, unmatched and unchecked coverage separately.
Venue-published schedules
Performance listings come from public box-office endpoints published by participating venues through Spektrix. They are Frontrow's core source, but they are not government or open datasets and Frontrow does not claim an open-data licence for them. Each schedule publishes its source-read time and links to the venue's own booking page.
Licensed supplier prices
The ticket price tracker uses an approved Theatre Tickets Direct product feed supplied through Awin. It is a contract source, not open data. Frontrow publishes only the bounded price observations and supplier identity needed for the tracker; it does not publish the feed as a download, expose supplier deep links, claim live stock, or mix supplier prices into venue-published schedules.
Unified R2 review and commercial boundary
The unified importer also holds complete GLEIF legal-entity, UK sanctions and UN sanctions snapshots, but Frontrow does not publish them: none has a stable, exact identifier join to these venue records, and fuzzy name matching would create unsafe claims. The Companies House PSC product stays private because it contains personal information. Grants.gov is a US federal opportunity feed and is not relevant to this UK venue journey. The OFAC import failed at its upstream edge and is marked failed, not silently filled.
Commercial manuals, affiliate or resale prices and reviews remain rights-gated. Stored historical supplier price rows are not published unless Frontrow has a site- and merchant-specific licence or partner approval. Venue-published prices may still appear on schedules when the venue itself supplies them. The commercial data status page records this gate without exposing the held feed.
Not republished as data
Met Office and National Rail are outbound planning links only. Frontrow does not republish their datasets. All other affiliate, accommodation, customer and operational holdings remain private and are not exposed in public output. Current coverage and source-read times are reported on the coverage and freshness page.
This page is a source and permissions register, not a downloadable Frontrow dataset. It therefore carries no Dataset structured data.
