Nubya Garcia: Cello Concerto

The multi-award-winning jazz saxophonist Nubya Garcia announces the world premiere of her first-ever cello concerto, written especially for Manchester Camerata’s Principal Cellist Hannah Roberts and created in collaboration with Factory International. A pillar of the British contemporary jazz scene, Nubya Garcia released her debut album Source in 2020 to widespread critical acclaim, earning a Mercury Prize nomination. She has since toured internationally, performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, and supported Khruangbin on their sold-out US tour.
