Rhythm of the Dragon

Aber Taiko are excited to present ‘Rhythm of the Dragon’ showcasing their exploration of the dynamic Japanese drumming art form, Taiko. Founded in 2015, Aber Taiko are a well-established drumming group here in Abertawe. They have been bringing ‘big drum’ vibes to events for over a decade, from local festivals, to large scale running events, to more prestigious venues. Aber Taiko collaborates with leading artists and teachers from around the globe; sharing and developing skills. Whilst rooted in tradition, Taiko is a constantly evolving art form. It is a choreographed feast for the senses including movement, rhythm and melody, with limitless possibilities for interpretation and individual expression.
