Foyer Sessions: Kirsty McGee & Nina Freckles

SINGER-SONGWRITER, FOLK, JAZZ, SOUL, ORIGINALS Kirsty McGee is a UK singer-songwriter with 10 albums and 25 years of touring behind her. Her song Sandman, featured in Danny Boyle’s film Trance, has just hit 8 million Spotify streams — her voice has been described as “smoke and velvet.” Nina Freckles is a striking German-Brazilian artist making her UK debut. Her songwriting is sharp and emotionally precise, with a voice somewhere between Björk and Joni Mitchell. They were brought together for a group show on a sunny day in Osnabrück in April 2026 where they immediately found they had common ground. When Nina mentioned a desire to tour the UK, Kirsty decided to make that happen. Together they perform with two guitars, two voices, bass flute and musical saw — something genuinely distinctive and entirely honest.
