Autumn Lectures: Photographic History of Worthing Part Two: 1914-1960
This talk will look at Worthing through the lens of photography from 1914-1960, showing the homefront in both World Wars, the construction of the Pavilion, the building of Worthing’s suburbs and much, much more. A full programme of eight talks delivered by our curator James Sainsbury, including four brand new lectures. These talks cover everything from the Prehistoric archaeology of Worthing and the wider area, to the dawn of photography and the development of the town in the 19th and 20th centuries.
