Widely regarded as one of the most distinctive instrumentalists in rock over the past four decades, Texas guitarist Eric Johnson was already a legend before releasing his first solo album. By the early 1980s, top players were buzzing about the skinny kid from Austin with jaw-dropping chops, drawing comparisons to Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix.
